David Seymour School children waiting to be fed. These children are examined by the school doctor and put into three categories. 1: healthy. 2: not so healthy.
3: 6 kilos underweight.
30% of Vienna's school
(...) children are in category 3, 40% are in category 2. UNICEF is feeding everyone in the third category and some of those in the second, but the organization lacks the money to feed all of those in the second category. One full meal per day in school is provided, with UNICEF paying for half the cost, and the Austrian Government paying for the other half. Vienna. 1948. © David Seymour | Magnum Photos
