Josef Koudellka Awarded Kraszna Krausz Fellowship
Magnum Photographer Josef Koudelka was awarded the Kraszna Krausz fellowship in recognition of his extraordinary work in books throughout a distinguished career.
The Kraszna-Krausz Fellowship recognises photographers whose careers exemplify the highest standards of photography book production; who have inspired creativity, created rigorous projects, and have had a lasting impact on both their fellow artists and the practice of image-making. Koudelka’s seminal books include Gypsies, The Black Triangle, and Exiles.
Previous winners are David Goldblatt (2015) and Don McCullin (2016).

Huck magazine spoke to Magnum’s Susan Meiselas about her four decades spent in the photography business. “Pictures live in memory,” she tells the publication. “Pictures are out of one’s hands once they are in some form that can be reproduced.
