Magnum Contact Sheet Prints tell as much of a story as the single image that goes on to become iconic: they reveal the befores, the afters, and the almost theres, that surround some of the most iconic photographs.
A selection of historic Contact Sheets by Magnum photographers are available as high quality, unsigned, contemporary 16×20″ prints. These contact prints offer the opportunity to own a piece of Magnum’s history.

Accompanying the images at the time, and reflecting on the iconic imagery of man and machine creaed by Werner Bischof, Swiss writer and journalist Arnold Kübler writes, “We are deeply affected, whether we are involved or not. We live in these times and in this world and must adapt ourselves as the world in turn changes us, must commit freely or under coercion to these transformations and reconfigurations in order to remain alive and empowered. The war bares the true countenance of the technical age in all its harshness and cruelty.
