Jean Gaumy travelled to Greenland’s mysterious “Terra Incognita” for National Geographic, in the context of drastic impact on the region as a result of global warming. The expansive gray-and-white landscape might look barren, but life lurks in the biodiverse Arctic waters below.

David Alan Harvey: Fine Art, Every Day

Four Magnum photographers have been given an open brief by Samsung to create a series of images demonstrating how photography enables them to capture art in the everyday, which they will be sharing on Instagram over the course of the next four weeks. Up first is David Alan Harvey, who finds inspiration in the coastal Outer Banks area of North Carolina, where he lives. Follow him as he shares a new image each day on his Instagram.

Magnum Photos has partnered with Samsung to create a new series of images for the ‘Fine Art, Every Day’ collection on The Frame TV. The new collection of 28 images will be made available on The Frame’s digital art platform Art Store.

Martin Parr’s Walks

Magnum’s Martin Parr has spoken to The Guardian about a favourite walk of his in Bristol, which he likes to take with his wife Susan. “We’ve been doing this walk every six weeks for 25 years now. Generally we go for a walk on a Sunday morning and I like to go to different places, but this walk has been accommodated into my general being. We’ll even walk it in the rain,” he says.

Erich Lessing Tributes

Photo District News payed tribute to Erich Lessing, who died aged 95 this week, by looking back at one of his most important bodies of work – his coverage of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.
