Collecting Magnum Prints

The Times shone a light on the world of collecting fine photographic prints, referencing Magnum’s place in the growing sector. Shlomi Rabi, the head of photographs at Christie’s New York, tells the paper: “For more than 70 years, Magnum photographers have been taking images that are seared into our collective social consciousness. From Steve McCurry’s famous Afghan Girl, 1984, to Cartier-Bresson’s Rue Mouffetard, Paris, 1952, these images resonate with collectors. It’s an opportunity for them to own and live with a part of history.” Subscribers can read the feature here.
